Living in Texas, it does often feel like anyone not born here is ‘naturalized’ after a few decades, and everyone else is a foreigner. I’ve live in the Lone Star State since I was seven, and albeit my accent isn’t Texan, I have begun to use y’all correctly and my boots are appropriately dirty.
